so much life! :o)

We are so blessed. Incredibly blessed beyond measure!!

The Lord just lavishes blessings on us, and we're so thankful!!

We've had so many wonderful things going on, much of which include family. The month of May has been such a blessing to us, albeit a bit crazy and hectic. We've had "big thing" after "big thing"going on, and I've often felt like I've met myself coming and going. It's a good thing, but I'm thankful our schedule is going to slow down a bit for June. :o)

I hope to dive into these events in great detail soon (probably in June), but for now, I'll sum up the events and try to include a favorite picture or 2 from each event.

~~~~~
our nephew Henderson was born!!! This technically didn't happen in May, but I've been wanting to write about it for a few months now. What a sweet blessing to have more little ones added to our family, and a cousin for the boys who lives close by! Henderson takes after his parents and is such a sweetie!!
~~~~~

May started with a really fun trip to the Black Creek Swamp Area in Mississippi from May 5-9th. Andrew so sweetly surprised me and planned this ahead of time, and then told me a month or so in advance. It was a great trip, full of fun and adventure. The boys loved it!! We had a bit of an anxious time with the constant threat of the poisonous and deadly Copperhead Snakes who lived by our cabin, so in an effort to get relief from that threat, we drove down to the Gulf of Mexico for the day and found out that there was flesh eating bacteria in the water... which the boys were currently playing in...

All in all, Andrew and I view this as the most successful vacation we've ever taken, seeing as how we were all alive at the end of it, with all our flesh intact. yay!!

~~~~
We got home from our trip on Sat eve, the 9th, and the following morning was Mother's Day. It was such a sweet and special day, spent with my boys and extended family. Then during the evening, my mom flew in to spend the following week with us!!
~~~

Andrew started Maymester on Monday, May 11th. It's been pretty busy for him and he's gone every night until 10:30-11ish.

My mom stayed for a week, from the 10th-16th, and was such a great sport about just jumping into "life" with us! She helped greatly with the boys, she celebrated Jasper's birthday with us, went to the Y with me, we had a girls day in downtown Atalanta, we took the boys on a golf cart ride through Peach Tree City, we took several picnics to several parks, etc, etc. It was such a treat!!

~~~~
Jasper's 4!!! How awesome is that?!?! He turned 4 while mom was here (May 12th) and we had a party with his friends to celebrate. It was so fun!! He wanted pancakes and bacon for his birthday dinner, and his big present from us was a fish... which is now dead. Fail. lol! I guess we need to figure out a new "big" present for him. He is such a joy and we're so thankful for his life!
Mom left on May 16th, and Sunday, May 17th started the FIRE conference at our church. I didn't personally have a lot to do with that, other than taking the boys to the evening sessions each night, but my inlaws were the main ones in charge, I think, and they were hosting several people upstairs, so there was quite and air of excitement and "busy-ness" going on the whole FIRE week. FIRE was the 17-21 and I was personally really encouraged and convicted by one of the speakers. It was really wonderful!!
~~~~

FIRE ended on the 21, and on May 22-25, Andrew and I went to Florida for a 3-day-date and my cousin's wedding. It. was. spectacular. It was truly, truly wonderful to be on a date with Andrew for so long and to reconnect after a busy season of life. It was a true joy!!

~~~
We got home from Florida on the 25th, and the next day was Memorial Day. We went to Senoia for their celebration and parade, and spent the evening with our resident "hang out friends" (aka mom and dad meade :o))
~~~

May-mester is over tomorrow, praise the Lord, and next week, we are going camping in Alabama for 2 days as a "celebration" that we survived May-mester. The day we get back from Alabama, our besties from Ohio might come down and stay with us for the weekend. And then. I think our schedule will significantly slow down. :o)

Let's recap:
-Henderson was born a couple months ago
-May 5-9 = a wonderful trip to a swamp which we all survived with all our flesh.
-May 10-16 = my mom was here
-May 11 = May-mester started
-May 12 = Jasper turned 4 and had a sweet birthday party
-May 16 = my mom left (so sad!!)
-May 17-21 = FIRE at church
-May 22-25 = 3-day-date to Flordia
-May 26 = Memorial day celebrations
-May 29 = May-mester ends
-June 2 = May-mester final
-June 4-5= camping in Alabama
-June 6 = our besties might come visit (yay!!)

* As I read over this list, I'm just so thankful at all the ways the Lord has blessed us! He lavishes and lavishes and then lavishes some more.

** I'm a bit tired to do pictures right now. Maybe tomorrow I can throw up a few pictures. Plus, my dearest andrew will be home soon, and I always have a hard time focusing on mundane things when I know that the best part of my day is about to start. Adios for now!

***speaking of Andrew, here's my favorite picture of us from the wedding this last weekend
