a sweet Easter
It was such a sweet day today! I love Easter and all that it represents with Christ's death and resurrection, thus making possible the redemption for lost sinners like myself. What a joy to serve a living God!

a whole new level
The littles and I had ladies bible study this morning and then spent the afternoon at a park. As we were stalking the excavator at the park, Jasper said, "Mom, can you please start packing me a snack to eat during ladies bible study?"
I was a little surprised, because I knew bible study provided snacks. So I said, "Sure, buddy, but I thought they gave you snacks at ladies bible study?"
to which he replied, "They do, but they just give us stuff like crackers and stuff like that. I would prefer to have meat instead. Or beef. Or a beef sandwich."
I blinked. And then smiled. And then laughed. and then blinked again.
My 4 year old wants beef as a snack?!
Oh, boy!! Jasper just brought snacks to a whole new level. No more gettin' by on little broken off pieces of animal crackers or such. We now need meat. Or beef. Or beef sandwiches.
** PS I thought this happened when they were teenagers! Not as 4 year olds!! How did my parents afford to feed all 5 of us kids???**

loud... singing
It's 8:24 am and I'm making the bed, brushing my teeth, praying and reading my Bible, that sort of thing... and the little are in their room, so happy, totally laughing, and singing, "Ho-ho-ho-ho-sanna, ha-ha-ha-hallejuah, he-he-he-he loves me, and I've got the joy of the Lord." at the top of their little boy lungs.
And it's melting my heart.
What precious gifts and what a sweet way to start the day!!

sweet little moment
The other day, I was standing in the hallway folding laundry while Jasper and Brody were playing together in the living room.
All of a sudden, Jasper sprints around the corner of the hallway, races by me, looks up in surprise, and says, "Oh! Hi mom!" without missing a beat or slowing down even for a nano-second.
Brody, Jasper's constant shadow, was right behind him, sprinting as fast as his little legs would go. Following Jasper's lead, Brody races past me, looks up in surprise, and says, "Oh! Hi mom!" without missing a beat or slowing down even for a nano-second.
Both boys disappeared into the playroom where they dove head-first into the toy box to search for their missing block.
The whole scene was a blur and lasted only about 2 seconds, but it was one of those treasured moments that I wish I could bottle up and carry around in my heart for the rest of my life.
It looked a little something like this...

My family, and sweet moments like these, are such blessings from the good hand of God.
