Andrew's a stud!

This last Wednesday, we had a sweet chance to celebrate Andrew and the wonderful work he's done in his MBA program. He got nominated by faculty for an award and Wednesday was the Honors Ceremony for all award recipients. Not only am I so proud of his academic accomplishments, but I'm also so proud of his integrity and reputation, especially among the faculty. He's such a great guy!

Also, he can totally pull off a suit! He's such a stud!!

After the Honors Ceremony, mom and dad Meade came back and took over babysitting duties for the boys. Madeline (aka one of our most favorite people on planet earth) had been watching the littles up to this point. Mom and Dad M took over the littles for the rest of the day and Andrew took me out on a romantic date in downtown Atlanta for the rest of the afternoon and evening. It was so dreamy.

We hit up his workplace to say hi to Tracy, we went on a sweet walk down a few romantic streets close to campus, we had coffee and shopping at Kog street market, and we ate a romantic dinner at Agave. I loved every single minute of it.

spring break, part 2...

Another super fun thing we did on spring break was to go down to Orange Beach for 2 days. It was SOO, sooo fun! It was such a blast, and we all hope to do it again soon!!

Again, he's a short recap of what we did, accompanied by pictures...

- we swam
- we looked for shells on the beach
- we swam
- we looked for more shells on the beach
- yes, we swam again
- we dug a huge hole
- we buried Jasper in the hole, much to his delight
- we swam
- we left

Andrew's spring break was a couple of weeks ago, and we had such a great week together!! We had so many fun things! The first thing was my parents' visit!! It. was. so. fun!!

Here's a short recap, accompanied with pictures, of what we did:

My rad dad, pushing Brody in the swing...

and playin' hoops with Jasper!

A group shot, minus dad.

And of course, no visit is complete without a night of Euchre!

watching tractor videos on dad's phone.

A picnic at a park...

and frisbee and stolls at another park.

Jasper gave mom a flower for her hair.

which incidentally stayed in the whole date!

our own private cabana, overlooking Piedmont Park and the Atlanta skyline.

the most delicious lobster dip I've ever experienced!

Sadly walking nana and papa to their car...

I hate Sunday nights

I'm so thankful that Andrew's getting his MBA, but I'll be so glad when this semester's done. Every Sunday night, as we put the boys to bed, Andrew says, "goodnight boys! I'll see you Wednesday at lunch time." It always makes me die a little inside when I realize the boys see their daddy on Sunday evening and then not again till Wed late-morning. And even then, andrew plays with them for 10 minutes and then needs to disappear to his office to do homework for the rest of the day. Ugh.

The end is in sight, though, so I'm VERY thankful. But Sunday nights are always hard on me and I'm always filled with dread for the next 60ish hours. But we'll see Andrew soon. :o) And thankfully, the Lord has given Andrew an awesome job at Panasonic where he doesn't have to travel and we'll get to see him every evening (that seems like such a dream to me. It seems totally amazing that we'll actually get to see Andrew every. single. evening.). But for now, this is real and this is hard on all of us.

In the meantime, we have fun finding people to minister to and babysitting lots and lots of kiddos each week so my friends can have alone time and such. Serving others is a great way to get my mind off of myself and onto others. But I really can't wait for school to be over. It's really hard.
