Our perfect day

Today is the type of day I dream about.

It was absolutely perfect.

I keep thanking God today for such a perfect, perfect day.

I wouldn't change a single thing.

It's Saturday, the 3 of us stayed home the whole day, the world right outside our windows is filled with lots of white snow, and we did nothing but stay inside and laugh and play and laugh some more.

Andrew and I played silly, goofy games with Jasper (and each other) all day. We all just hung out on the couch together, hung out on the floor together, hung out in the basement together, and just played, invented new games, played old games, and laughed.

Oh, there was quite a bit of squealing involved, too. We tend to feed off each other. When one starts squealing, it's impossibly hard for the others not to join in.

It's 8:36pm and I'm still in my pj's.

Jasper was so incredibly happy and hyper (super, duper hyper) all day until 3 pm when he crashed and took a 3 hour nap, during which Andrew and I raced upstairs and watched 3 episodes of our favorite tv show.

Then Jas woke up happy and hyper again at 6 pm, Andrew went out and got us the bomb Taco Bell  for dinner (ok, so I guess the hubs did leave the house once), I put on "classic love songs", and we ate our Taco Bell dinner then danced and danced around the kitchen to love songs (Jasper's new favorite thing is to twirl in circles then collapse on the floor saying, "dizzzzzzyy!!!!" and laugh and laugh- he really does get a kick out of himself.).

Then we played and laughed and chased each other around the house for the next hour an half.

Jas is now in bed and Andrew and I are getting ready to head back upstairs.

It's the type of day I dreamed of and, in fact, yearned for during those long, hard months and years when we prayed our hearts out for a child. God is so, so good.

It was pure bliss for us.

Peace out.
