Andrew was in Phoenix on a business trip for the latter half of the week, and with him gone, Jasper and I loaded up our car to the brim to went and stayed with my parents. It was glorious! A few of the highlights include:
- Dad's 60th birthday (Happy birthday dad!! I love you SO much!!)
- spending time with Mom aka Nana :o)
- Dad's scrapbook and letters
- Ali's birthday (happy, happy birthday Ali!! Love you!!)
- gma and gpa's anniversary (happy anniversary, gma!! I adore you and am so thankful for you!!)
- Easter (He is risen!!)
- watched what feels like countless March Madness games (my dream come true!)
- an Easter Egg Hunt for the littles
- a trip to Godfather's and some mild grocery shopping
- Cade and some college buddies
- hours and hours of walking outside with Jasper, exploring, climbing in tractors, "driving" tractors, chasing the dog Marley around, looking in barns, pushing the ball popper, etc. (we must have walked miles and miles each day)
Despite the fact that I had some horrible tooth pain, an extremely nasty cold, a sleepless night, and was missing Andrew, we had such a wonderful, wonderful time! It was such a crazy whirlwind of a week and I'm looking forward to recuperating a little this week (and getting my tooth fixed! yay!!)
The biggest bummer of the weekend was that my cameras (yes, plural!) were not functioning. I know! I took 2, just in case 1 ran out of batteries or something. But not just 1 but 2 were non-functioning!! Boo. However, with the help of mom's memory card, I was able to capture a couple pics of the Easter Egg Hunt and I got a couple pics of Jasper, on Easter Sunday, after his hibernating nap.
The little ones, right before the hunt began.
Jas & cousin Kinlee, eating their candy together and watching the big boys run. They are so sweet together!
Jasper and Papa (yes, J got to choose his own basket at the store and he choose the hot pink one with a ginormous handle!)
cousin Brogan and his big pile of eggs! :o)
me, really enjoying Jasper's excitement! He LOVED the hunt!
Easter Sunday was quite the whirlwind, too. We woke up at my parents' house (Andrew had driven straight from the columbus airport to my parents' house on Sat eve, so he was there with us on Sun morn), got ready, loaded BOTH of our cars to the brim, hustled back to columbus, was only slightly late for our Easter service, got take-out for lunch, ate lunch, unloaded both cars, and then all 3 of us crashed for long, long naps. Jasper woke up, begged to go upstairs, I complied, and he immediately sat down and started applying chapstick.
For a long time.
A long, long time.
He has very moist lips.
These are the only pics from our Easter Sunday, but at least there are a few. I love his bedhead. And that he's still a little dazed from his nap but desperate for chapstick.
